Day 23 - How We Grow

Tammy Mayberry
Growing in Christ

It is such a great feeling to know I am growing closer in his Word. I am learning more each day to become committed to his Word because he never fall short. I was truly blessed when I read your passage regards to changing the way you think. I can testify that since I'm growing spiritually in his Word I have no passion for thinking the way I use to. I praise God today in my life for blessing me with the thought pattern of spiritual decisions. The first way to grow in Christ is to love him. He wants to be acknowledged by witnessing his presence. The way to pleasing him is confessing with your mouth. The more we love the Lord, the more we sense our "failures, shortcomings, weaknesses, and wrongdoings.” I am continuing to grow in Christ by exercising his Spirit. We must always stay in contact with the Lord. I praise him when I'm doing good and bad. It is not pleasing to him if you only praise him for good times. He needs to know your faith during bad times as well.

Question for today is: What is one area where I need to stop thinking my way and start thinking God’s way?

One of the ways that I need to start thinking God’s way is grieving. I often find myself struggling over the passing of a love one. I ask God to make me stronger as time passes by. I always pray and ask God to comfort me with his love. I need to ask God what steps I need to take after he comforts me for spiritual guidance to be a stronger Christian.

Verse to Remember: "Let God transform you inwardly be a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect." Romans 12:2b (TEV)
