Day 34 - Thinking Like A Servant

Wanda Cash
Think Right

Service starts in the mind. To think like a servant -  First, as believers, we should have the mind of Christ. To be a servant requires a shift of the mind and a change of attitude. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.  Therefore,we will think as Christ and have the attitude as Christ.
Having the mind of a servant (Jesus) means sharing the Plan (understands his plan);Purpose(Identity with Christ's purpose which is to seek and save those who are lost; and Perspective (share Jesus humility and compassion).

According to Pastor Rick Warren real servants serve God with a mindset of these attitudes:

1-Servants think more about others than about themselves (Romans 12:3).
2-Servants thinks like stewards, not owners. Servants and Steward go together(1 Corinthians 4:2).
3-Servants think about their work, not what others are doing.(1 Corinthians 3:5-9).
4-Servants base their identity in Christ. Jesus washes his disciples feet(John 13:1-20).
5-Servants think of ministry as an opportunity, not an obligation.  Enjoy helping people, meeting      needs and doing ministry(Psalms 100:2).

God will use you if you will begin to act and think like a servant. Albert Schweitzer quotes: "The only really happy people are those have learned to SERVE"

Verse to Remember: "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:5 (NIV)
