Growth in Progress
Wanting to be like Christ is the most important thing to me as it should be for everyone, but sometimes it takes time. Letting go of things that "we" are so accustomed to is hard and because temptation is sometimes stronger than we think our will can be tested and under estimated. Knowing within your mind that you want to be more like Christ is just the beginning, knowing within your heart and feeling it in your spirit is when you know you're making some progress. Sometimes someone, or something happens that reminds you that some stuff you can't do on your own and it took time for you to realize it.
What we all need to keep in mind is that there are only two people that are perfect, THE FATHER (GOD) and His SON (JESUS). When we were created, we were created with flaws, we were made to make mistakes, but we were blessed as well because God has never denied us the opportunity to learn from our mistakes, do better and be more like Christ. Again this takes time.
Every journey that we go through in life is like a long road trip. You never get there at the exact time that you thought you should, but eventually you get there. That's how your journey to be like Christ will be. I can't speak for everyone, I can only speak for me and the progress of my journey. I do know that eventually I am going to hear "Job well done." No, I'm not rushing it because I know it takes time.

Verse to meditate on:
God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again. This is my prayer for you: That your love will grow more and more; that you will have knowledge and understanding with your love; that you will see the difference between good and bad and will choose the good; that you will be pure and without wrong for the coming of Christ. Philippians 1:6,9-10
