The 3 Ds to Destiny

What is Destiny? According to the dictionary, it’s what will occur to a person or thing in the future. After publishing my first journal in 2014, Journal to My Destiny, God gave me three words to use that would lead one to fulfil their destiny.

Before we can reach our destination, there are steps we must take in life be it our business, school, ministry, etc. The journey of finding life’s purpose is a popular topic. Finding our purpose is crucial to reaching our destiny. Without first discovering our purpose, our destiny will continuously elude us. Purpose is the reason why something exists. Why does a car exist? To serve as a means of transportation from point A to point B. Why does a mirror exist? To provide a reflection. Why do you exist? You are the fulfillment of God’s purpose for your life. We must be able to answer that question in order to head in the direction of destiny.

Discovering our potential is vital to knowing our purpose. Discovery is a life process that each individual must explore. In knowing God, purpose becomes revealed. Growing in our spiritual life is the key to truly fulfilling destiny. Once you know your purpose, you can begin to work your plan. In working your plan, you will also need to write it. Write your goals, dreams, and visions. Take the limits off of your mind and write out even what seems impossible to reach!

We all are destined to fulfill our own particular purpose. Let’s get on the path to the 3-Ds:

On Your Mark! The first D is DECIDE: decide what it is that you plan to accomplish, your goals, your passions, what are you naturally good at. 

Get Set! The second D is DEFINE: clearly state or describe the decisions you make. Set limits and boundaries. Strategize a plan, make it relevant to what you’ve set out to do and keep track as you go. 

Go! The third D is DETERMINE: keep at it. Persevere and be consistent. Trust God to get you through your journey and never give up!

Continuing the 3-Ds to Destiny will get you to your DESTINY! Your expected future God has waiting for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)
