Wins defined in the Webster's dictionary: to get (something, such as a prize) by achieving victory in a fight, contest, game, etc.
I was so excited to hear that tennis great, Serena Williams won her 7th Wimbledon Title. Not only did she win her 7th title, she also tied the record with a Glam Slam win of 22 in the open-era world record. She was able to defeat the same player, Angelique Kerber who had defeated her in January. In her interview, she stated how this time she played with a different mindset, she acknowledged that her previous match was not played at best, and how this time around she knew what it took to win. After reading this article on CNN.com, I thought of some steps one could take to continually win. Here are three steps I gleaned from Serena's winning streak:
- You must have the right Mindset! (Prov. 23:7 ...as a man thinks in his heart, so is he)
- You can't be good, you must be Great! (1 John 4:4 ...the greater one lives in you)
- You must do what is necessary to Win! (1 Cor. 15:57 ...God gives us the victory through Jesus)
